Chanel Chance Eau De Parfum Spray

Scents always will be personal considering they smell different on every person when they mix with each individuals scent. I will never leave the house without a spritz of something on my neck. I love when I'm just going about my day and I get a whiff of whatever it is I put on that morning.

I picked this Chanel bottle out at the airport on my way home from the Dominican Republic this time last year because what else should you be doing while waiting for a flight home but roaming through aisles upon aisles of sweet scents. It ended up being one of those impulsive on a whim purchases that I don't regret at all.

I believe there are a couple of different versions of Chanel's Chance. This is my favorite of them so far. It has notes of vanilla, pronounced jasmine and iris as well as intense white musk.

This specific scent is everything you would expect from Chanel. It's classy, indulgent and luxurious in every way possible. This is not one of those perfumes you want to pack with you on travels but it is just the thing to put on display at home on a vanity shelf with it's gorgeous glass bottle and golden color.

I often tend to go for rollerball sized perfumes since they are so easy to toss in a purse when your heading out or pack in for a night away. When I really fall in love with a scent I purchase a full size so that I will have a lot of time to wear it before it runs out.

I recommend giving this one a whiff if you come across it, I think it's one of those really classic scents that will work for alot of different people. I like to reserve it for special occasions or date nights because it's Chanel after all and it isn't cheap at around $124 for this size. Do you have any scents like this one in your own collection that you just feel really lovely about every time you wear it? Name me some of your favorites, I am always looking to smell a little something fresh!

Thanks so much for stopping in!

Duck Bacon Wrapped Veggies with Sweet Balsamic Drizzle Recipe

I love roasted veggies and my husband really appreciates a good serving of duck. Combine the two and you get these duck bacon wrapped veggies with sweet balsamic drizzle. The ingredient deck is short and the method is simple which makes it the perfect weeknight or weekend appetizer and side. I've also roasted the veggies, then tied them and then fried them for a really crispy outside before but if you want to keep it healthier follow the method below and put them in the oven. Also feel free to add and remove any specific vegetables you prefer. Wrapping with beef fry as an alternative to duck is a great choice as well.

Here's my recipe:

Duck Bacon Wrapped Veggies with Sweet Balsamic Drizzle

Ingredients:

3 oz. Pelleh Poultry Kosher Cured Smoked Duck Fry
1 Large Zucchini, trimmed and cut lengthwise into thin spears
1 Large Yellow Squash, trimmed and cut lengthwise into thin spears
1 Red Pepper, trimmed and cut lengthwise into thin spears
1 Teaspoon Fresh Chopped Garlic
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

Balsamic Glaze:
1/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
1/4 Cup Honey
1/2 Tsp. Cumin

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees and line a baking sheet with greased parchment paper.

2. Once you've cut your veggies into even sized spears, make a bundle of about 2-3 of each veggie- zucchini yellow squash and red pepper. Add a bit of fresh chopped garlic to each bunch and then tie each bundle up with a piece of duck bacon. Then lay each one out on the baking sheet with the tied end downwards . Sprinkle them with salt and pepper to taste and drizzle with olive oil. Then put them in the oven to roast for 20 minutes.

3. In the meantime prepare your glaze. In a small sauce pan combine balsamic vinegar,  honey and cumin. Heat over low-medium heat and allow the vinegar to cook out for a couple of minutes while whisking constantly. Allow it to thicken up slightly before removing it from the flame.

4. Once 20 minutes has passed,  remove the veggie bundles from the oven and drizzle with the sweet balsamic glaze. Then put back into the oven for another 2-3 minutes. Remove and serve immediately or reheat when ready to serve.

I really hope you will give my Duck Bacon Wrapped Veggies with Sweet Balsamic Drizzle a try! Don't forget to leave me a comment below letting me know what it was like if you do! New Year, New Goals

Sometimes I get in a little rut. Not writers block exactly, maybe just a mix of a little lack of inspiration and day to day busyness. I absolutely love blogging and I knew that I would get back into the swing of things eventually and finally I have. I find that when this kind of thing happens the best thing for me to do is just take a step back from all of my social media, evaluate everything and then very slowly start working on little details to get back into things. In the past several weeks I've been recording new videos, editing subscription boxes and getting things prepared to get back into it all so that once I did it would be an easy transition. I have all sorts of exciting things coming your way so get ready for it!

I'm pumped to be back and even more pumped about this new year and all of it's opportunities. I bought myself a new planner and to do list notebook and I've been trying to set myself attainable goals each day, week and month. This plan was what kept me on track last year and I was truly successful in meeting so many marks I had placed for myself because of it. I'm looking forward to a year of self introspection, enhanced spirituality, improved organization and time management and most importantly prioritization of family. I have so many goals and thoughts but here are 9 main things I am hoping to gain towards in year 2017. They aren't in a specific order, I feel they are all equally important to me. They are also quite general. I will most likely cover them more in depth in the coming months as I chip away at them.

Goal #1 Growth in all areas of being a mom, wife, sibling, daughter and friend.

Goal #2 Drink more water, eat healthier and keep to my consistent exercise routine.

Goal #3 Spiritual growth. There are many facets to this but I am leaving it here for now.

Goal #4 Get even more organized at home, write even more more lists and declutter further.

Goal #5 Keep at the home improvement in decor, remodeling and anything that will promote organization and comfort while creating a more cozy environment.

Goal #6 Travel more to areas of the world I have never been and explore the area I live in too, from new restaurants to architectural monuments.

Goal #7 Set aside more time to learn more about photography, blogging, writing, creating videos and editing to make this blog an even better place to hang out.

Goal #8 Take more risks with food and cooking and explore different cuisines and cooking methods.

Goal #9 Be more social and put in more effort into meeting likeminded and inspirational individuals.

Those are my goals.

Fresh starts are always so invigorating for me and I'm really looking forward to another excellent year of growth, goal achievement and new opportunities.

What goals are you anticipating working towards this year? Let us know in the comments form and inspire us!
