It Cosmetics No-Tug Waterproof Gel Eyeliners in Copper & Lucky Jade

I've been writing these beauty reviews for almost 10 years now and I think you will notice that I am always as honest as possible about how I feel about products. If something didn't work well for me, you'd better bet I will be telling you so. And if something is awesome, you will hear me screaming it from the rooftops too. That truly is the entire purpose of me writing these reviews, so that you will be informed on what to spend your hard earned money on and what to skip on.

So let me first start by saying how much I adore the It Cosmetics brand ever since trying my very first product of theirs- the universal brow pencil. I have since discovered some real keepers like the bye bye under eye concealer and the superhero mascara. It's actually the first section I check when I walk into Ulta to check for any new releases. And that is what I did this last time when I was searching for some colored liners. I swatched these two No-Tug Waterproof Gel Eyeliners in the store and thought they applied nicely and were cool colors to change it up from my typical neutral choices. So I took them home. I don't wait very long to get testing and I tried the green one called "Lucky Jade" the next chance I got. I was immediately pretty disappointed. It was really hard to apply to my waterline, not very easy to blend out and appeared more black then green on. Also it didn't stay put for more then a couple of hours. For a liner titled "no tug", "waterproof" and "gel" it was disheartening to say the least. Trying the copper one, the only real difference was that the copper was true to it's color, a gorgeous one actually but it too didn't last long on my waterline and was difficult to apply. I thought perhaps they weren't meant to be used on the waterline so I attempted to smudge it along my lash line but neither of them smudged or blended out very well.

For the brands reputation $22 seems like a decent price tag for a twist up eyeliner but because they didn't work well for me, I'd recommend you spend a couple of dollars more for a Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon or you can buy 2 for that same price if you go for the Loreal Infallible Silkissime Pencils

Suffice it to say, I wasn't impressed with these eyeliners. Because I have so many favorites of the brand I will certainly continue to try others from the line in the future.

You can tell in the swatches below that these liners dragged quite a bit to apply.

Have you given these It Cosmetics Eyeliners a try? If you have, what do you say? If you haven't, do you want to?

This is not a sponsored post. There, got that out of the way hehe.

Thanks so much for stopping in!
