Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Molten Midnight

You know I love my glitters and metallics and pretty much anything sparkly or shiny really. We've been over it before. So you can imagine my excitement when these Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows were released.  I immediately purchased this one in "Molten Midnight" which is a bronze - black based shade with silver and gold glitter mixed into it. I've already put my endorsement on liquid shadows in general ever since my love affair began with those Urban Decay Liquid Moondust Shadows. The idea behind liquid shadows that makes them a deal sealer for me is that they apply evenly, blend nicely at the edges and stay put throughout the day.

The reason I have yet to try any other shades from this line and am unsure if I will is because of the enormous amount of glitter fallout that happens every time I wear this Stila shadow. This is truly such a shame  because it applies easily and smoothly, blends beautifully even around the edges and then sets nicely as well. An hour in is when the trouble begins and it never ends. Giant beautiful particles of glitter can be found here there and everywhere from your face, hair, whatever shirt you are wearing, nothing goes unscathed! I've tried applying glitter glue first, using a small detailed synthetic brush to apply, putting it over a gel liner and so much more but nothing stops the explosion of glitter from happening. The sad part is that I am absolutely in love with this specific shade and the glitter is 3D like none I've ever seen before. Turning and catching the light causes the glitter to dance and sparkle on your eye. I have worn it with so many color combinations. I've done maroon in the crease, purples, darker deeper more matte colors for a perfect smokey eye etc. I really do think it does something fantastic for any eye look. I just wish it didn't have that fallout because otherwise it is perfect in every way. The price is similar to other liquid shadows of it's size and kind at $24.00 and a good amount of product is in each tube. The applicator is a tiny bit big but still very easy to work with. The packaging is simple stunning with it's champagne gold details too. Stila offers 10 glitter finish shades, this one included. I'm only wondering if the others are just like this with the fallout. They also have 4 metallic finish shades that look so, so gorgeous. So now the only question is: will I try another glitter finish to see if it this fallout remains consistent throughout the line and will I try one in the metallic finish to see if it's the glitter causing the problem after all? That said, this is one of my favorite glitter liquid shadows I have ever come across and I am so sad that I cannot make it work. So as you can see I am extremely torn! Aside from the glitter particles, it is perfection in a tube.

Have you given these Stila Magnificent Metals Liquid Eye Shadows a try? If you have, do you find that they have major glitter particle fallout? Is there a trick to fixing that little issue?

This is not a sponsored post. There, got that out of the way hehe.

Thanks so much for stopping in!
