Maybelline Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Loose Powder

I think I'm the and only beauty blogger that hasn't tried the famous loose setting powders. I just never felt the need to "bake" my under eye area on a regular day and the famous white cast in photos from the Makeup Forever HD powder forever scarred me.

I recently decided to try a drugstore version first before going for the more expensive famous choices and that's how this Maybelline Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Loose Powder ended up in my makeup drawer. I don't "bake" per say but I do like to set my under eye and areas I've applied concealer to a lot more often now. Spoiler, I've already ordered myself the famous Laura Mercier loose setting powder and I look forward to seeing  how it works for me. I guess you could say I've found I like loose setting powders after all.

The upside, this products sets and smooths any area without causing a cake, powdery mess no matter how much you use. The price is just right too at about $8.99.  The best, most important part is how translucent it is once on the face, no white cast is left, so no ghostly look in photos to look back on and cringe. And the only real downside I've found is how messy this product gets. When you open it, a cloud of powder kicks up into the air and everywhere, landing on every surface around you. I learnt this the hard way by applying it over an open makeup drawer and having to clean every product off later. If I'm careful to apply it over a surface I can easily clean later and pat and dust it on nicely I can avoid this annoying little situation though.

Have you given this Maybelline Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Loose Powder a try? If you have, what do you say? Is it worth a little clean up afterwords? Look out for my thoughts on the Laura Mercier one once it arrives and I've gotten the chance to really try it.

This is not a sponsored post. There, got that out of the way hehe.

Thanks so much for stopping in!
