My Smoked Panko Green Beans with Ranch Dip Recipe

Baked or fried, these panko crusted green beans are some seriously good finger food! Dipped into my favorite ranch dip they are even better, if that's at all possible. We actually love dipping everything into this ranch dip. Pouring it over salads, dipping mozzarella onion sticks into it (as mentioned in that recipe post) and most recently, served on a cheese platter we put together for movie night over the weekend.  Also, I found this amazing smoked panko in my local grocery and although I'm sure you could easily find a similar variation, any flavor will do. That smoked flavor really does take these up a notch though.

Smoked Panko Green Beans with Ranch Dip

Ingredients:

2-3 Cups Fresh Green Beans, Ends Removed
2  Large Eggs
1 1/2 Cups Smoked Panko
Salt & Pepper to to Taste
1/4 Cup Olive Oil

Ranch Dip:
2/3 Cup Mayonnaise
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
1/2 Cup Almond Milk
1 Teaspoon Jarred or Fresh Crushed Chopped Garlic
1 Teaspoon each onion powder, fresh or dry dill and parsley
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Grated parmesan cheese, optional

Method:

1. Whisk two eggs together and place in a shallow dish. Place the smoked panko in another similar dish. "Bread" green beans by dipping first in egg and then in panko and set aside on a plate until ready to saute'

2. If you'd like to keep things a little healthier, grease a baking sheet and lay green beans out in one layer after breading, heat oven at 350 and bake for 20 minutes, flipping half way through.

3. If you choose to saute, heat olive oil in a non stick saute pan over medium heat. Once simmering, add green beans and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and tender. Then, remove to a paper towel lined plate.

4. Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, almond milk, chopped fresh or jarred garlic, dried or fresh dill and parsley, onion powder and salt in a sauce bowl and whisk well to combine.

5. Serve green beans warmed or at room temperature along with the ranch dip.

6. If you choose sprinkle green beans grated parmesan cheese before serving as well.
