Mario Badescu Skin Care Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater

I talked about this skin care spritz in my most recent beauty haul. Now that I've been using it daily since about mid-April, I can finally share a little insight on it. I walked into Ulta looking for a new face primer amongst other things and the very friendly, really knowledgeable saleswomen walked me right over to this spray and explained that she uses it as a primer and setting spray both before and after applying her makeup. I actually really liked the cleansers I'd already tried from this line and I'd heard this specific face spray being highly spoken of in the past, so I thought it sounded good. When I took the 4 oz. size bottle to the checkout, the girl who'd been helping me was kind enough to throw me in a little mini size 1 oz. bottle of the spray which I'm extremely grateful for as it is just so easy to toss it in my purse or travel bag when needed. It actually comes in an even larger 8 oz. size one as well which is what I'll go for next time.  The packaging is very spa like and simple with it's classic clear plastic bottle with a white label at it's center and large block letters spelling out the brands name and product description. The actual spray is really nice too, it dispenses quite a bit at a time but in a nice mist that isn't too harsh but just strong enough to touch every point of your face. There are two variations of this facial spray, one being this Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater one and the other an Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea one in a light mint green shade, I definitely want to try that one as well.  The pink colored liquid of this one is translucent once on the skin but I think the color adds a nice touch. It is scented but in a gorgeous light way where you can pick up on a bit of rose for about an hour or so after applying it and then it kind of fades until you next apply it. It's actually safe for all skin types since it's an extremely gentle formula but I like it most for it's hydrating properties. I do spray this on before applying makeup and once done as recommended but here's the thing, I don't think it quite suffices as a priming base or setting spray to keep makeup in place. It's very refreshing so I like to use it as a toner to prep my skin before applying my primer and all other makeup products as well as once all of my makeup is on to keep things from looking too settled or powdery. It's also great to keep on hand for a mid-day refreshing spritz if your skin is feeling uncomfortable at all under a full coverage foundation or something of the sort. On days that I don't do my makeup at all, I add this as the last step of my skin care routine. It just makes my skin feel so good and is just what I need on those no makeup days. The great thing is that even though this is a high end luxurious feeling skin care brand, the prices are super fair. The largest size goes for just $12 on Ulta's website!

Have you given this facial spray by Mario Badescu a try? If you have, is yours the rosewater one or cucumber? If you haven't, would you want to give them a go?

Let me know in the comments form along with any recommendations from the line as well!

Thanks so much for stopping in!
