OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Leave in Or Rinse Out Creamy Hair Butter

There's been a lot of talk about the OGX brand lately, and argan oil, like coconut oil is having a moment as well. Back in the day, the big thing was the Macadamia Deep Repair Mask which I still love until today but still find to be a bit pricey. So I decided to give this hair butter a go with it's big claims to hydrate and repair. Here's what I think. This rich, buttery product does work. It gives my hair back some of that much needed moisture but as for repairing, I don't really think anything other then a good snip of the dead ends can do that for sure! I've never yet left it in my hair as I'm more of a night time shower person but I also feel that it's a bit too rich and thick to be used like that. I really like it's scent and that it lingers in my hair until mid day the next day. The packaging is pretty typical for a product like this with a screw off lid, but I think it would be far more convenient if it were in a closed bottle with a pump for when it's used in the shower. I've since tried a shampoo and conditioner from the line and I find they work nicely on my dry, thick head of hair. Although this does a similar job to that of the Macadamia one I don't think the silky softness lasts quite as long with this one. Either way I would still recommend this argan leave in butter, I mean it's just under $6 in most places. Bargain! P.S. I wash my every day wig on my own and I use this on the ends every 3-4 washes or so and I have to say it's really improved the knottiness I sometimes got at the ends towards the end of the day.

Have you tried any of the OGX hair products? Let me know which ones if you have? If you haven't, do you plan to?
