I've really begun to get into my new seasons shopping. But a lot has changed. In the past I would walk into my favorite stores or skim through online shops and grab all sorts of great trendy pieces that caught my eye. It's not that I haven't made good use of them, it's just an extremely disorganized way of shopping. This season, I've taken a different approach. It may sound pretty basic but it actually is not something I've taken the time to do in the past. I've always taken screenshots of looks I've found on pinterest, instagram, blogs I read daily etc. and they've just kind of sat around in my phone until I did a clean out here and there. Recently, I created a pinterest board specifically for spring style inspiration. When I come across a look that I can see myself wearing or taking inspiration from, I pin it to the board. Now going to that board, I can get an idea of specific trends I want to incorporate as well as specific pieces that are repeated often. I then go on the search at my favorite stores- Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, DSW etc. for pieces like those that I can get a lot of use out of in several looks. I'm also trying to match outfits up, instead of just buying a whole bunch of random pieces that don't actually go together. This way when all is said and done, I will have at least 5 good outfits that I can mix and match if I like as well. This doesn't mean I won't do any more shopping throughout the season, it's just good to know I have something good going to start with. Also I've decided to save my money and spend less on the trendy items and invest more in my designer pieces that will last and stick around with me for years to come.
Here are some the specific pieces I'm on the search for:
1) Caged heels.
2) Denim Jackets.
4) Off the Shoulder Tops
5) Skinny Jeans
6) Lace Skirts
7) Statement Earrings
