My style has always been 90 percent casual, so when athleisure started becoming a thing, it was fairly easy for me to embrace it. It's the perfect balance of every day clothes with a bit of workout attire thrown in, in my case. Some of these pieces are items I actually work out in. Because I workout in the evenings, it is safe to say I'm not going out to do work meetings or errands in clothes I've worked out in but that doesn't mean I won't throw these comfy bits on when its an easy going day.
Exercising has very much become a part of my daily routine even more so over the past year and a half on a very consistent basis. Having cute comfy clothes to wear while working out really keeps me motivated interestingly enough. The excitement l feel when I come across a new pair of leggings or sneakers may be a bit ridiculous, but here's to staying healthy and fit!
The hoodie sweatshirt is a great piece all year round. I throw it on when I'm biking outside on a windy night and my workout room tends to be really cold in the winter time so it's just the thing I need while warming up. The shape of it, the length of the sleeves, it's color and the silver glitter printed all over it make it appropriate for an every day casual look as well. It's Adidas By Stella McCartney and it was truly one of my best vintage finds to date. The pink capri leggings with neon yellow and black stripes down their side were from Macys (similar pair), they have a grey tightly fitted waist that makes working out really comfortable. When working out at home, I skip the skirt but if I'm out biking, running etc. this skirt is perfect because it's thin and light weight. It's such a good basic so I was glad to have found it in Forever 21 (similar ones) . The sunglasses aren't new to the blog at all, glassesshop.com were kind enough to send them to me last summer and I've worn them a whole lot ever since. And as for my sneakers (similar ones), I'm in love with my grey, purple accented Nikes. I believe I got them in Marshalls last Summer as well.
I get lots of questions about the hair thing. If your new around here then you may not know that I wear wigs pretty much on a a daily basis being a married Jewish women. If you want to find out more about the Jewish custom, read here. This specific one is an ombre Irene. I threw on this light grey faux leather cap I got at Double Header accessory store at least two summers ago, it's still holding up really well.
I wore this to the park today and I thought it was really comfortable for running around and pushing the kids on the swings but I also felt a little more dressed, like I'd put a little more effort into my look. Let me know how you feel about the athleisure style and your opinion on my look if you have one, I love to hear from you!
Thanks so much for stopping in!
