There are so many inexpensive gems to be found at the drugstore but in discovering them a lot of trial and error is often involved. This black as night liquid eyeliner with a precise hybrid of a felt tip and brush style applicator was a real hit at first, but because I have extremely sensitive eyes where eyeliners and mascaras are concerned it just didn't work out. I regret this a whole lot since it was in all ways perfect otherwise. I used it for a full month before giving up on it. That's how torn I was.
Applying a perfect wing on my eyes proves to be quite difficult due to one eye drooping in the outer corner ever so slightly after having some stitches in, just above the eyebrow as a 5 year old. Finding a product that simplifies the process has therefore become a great goal of mine. I have discovered several great ones over the years. The Loreal Infallible Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner, being a real hero from the past.
This one did an excellent job of creating a thin crisp line, staying nice
and fluid all throughout application. It wasn't completely matte in finish but
also not overly shiny at all once set. It lasted on the eyes nicely throughout
the day but I wouldn't go so far to say it's completely waterproof as it's
claimed to be. My biggest problem with it is the textured feeling it gets once
it dries. I can really feel the liner on my eyes and it rubs on the corners
where I flick out my line. I don't know why this is, it could be that this is
just my sensitive eyes causing trouble, but I sadly was unable to continue
using it and had to toss it. I've heard good things about the NYC brand one,
another drugstore bargain at a similar price point to this one. Maybe that will
be my next tester.
Have you given this liner a try? If you have, what did you think of it? If you haven't do you want to?
