As with everything else that's gotten pushed off a bit in the past few months, outfit of the days and fashion related things have been few and far between! I'm excited to bring some back to the blog today with this summer look.
I'm not completely back to my pre-baby shape as you can probably see but I am happy to be back in my size and at my pre-pregnancy weight! I've been holding off on making any major clothing purchases for that reason, sticking to my last summers wardrobe in the meantime. So when I was in Target for a diaper pail, pacifiers, and the likes this week and came across this colorful printed skirt, I knew it had to be mine. Not only for its comfy elastic waste but because it isn't a pencil skirt which is my typical. My goal with shopping for some summer staples is to indulge in lots of color, try not to wear so much black and buy pieces that are light and cool but basic.
My nails are are the CND 7 day polish that I actually managed to get around to do in a salon. I love the OPI version as well and I don't think I'll ever wear another kind of polish ever again. It has the shine of gel and even lasts on my nails better then gel without damaging them! I have been giving baths, scrubbing dishes and washing bottles and still they haven't chipped or budged. They look exactly as they did when I first got them done! I chose a mint shade and asked them to paint some silver stars on three nails of each hand. I love how it turned out!
If you don't know this about me already, I am obsessed with owls. They are my favorite animal and I have them spread throughout my house and closet, printed on pillows, framed and now as stud earrings. I paired this one with a feather earring that came with it amongst several other cool studs when I purchased it. And that beautiful ring...it's from Michaels crafts store, I find such great stuff there!!
I don't claim to be any expert in fashion but I do love dressing up like anyone else. I can't wait to share more of my fun summer style purchases as well as other outfits I throw together!
Have you purchased something exciting for summer? Please do share, I'd love to hear about it!
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful Shabbos and weekend!
