Friday Fashion: End Of Winter Outfit Of The Day: Red Plaid, Leather Vest

It's time for some Friday Fashion again. I'm back with another outfit post this week, if you've seen the video I put up last week at this time, you will know what this look is all about already. If not you can go have a look here.

It's critical to have a few key pieces in my closet that I can wear throughout that awkward transition period between seasons. Especially since I live somewhere where the weather seems to vary greatly from day to day. This week we had 60 degree weather for 2 days and then 20 degree weather on 2 more. So I'm not quite ready to pack away my boots for that reason.

I chose this black leather zip up vest which is surprisingly warm for what it is. This makes it the perfect transitional piece. I picked it out at Forever 21 at the beginning of this season and it's been excellent ever since. This red tartan plaid pencil skirt was another great find from Forever 21 . They have some really great quality skirts for decent prices and when I spotted it I knew I had to have it.

The necklace is from Charlotte Russe and the shoes are holding up great still though I purchased them about 2 years ago at Rainbow. I love the sweater top on them which holds tight against my legs and doesn't fall down. I also like the chunky but nice heel which gives me height without sacrificing comfort.  This look isn't very inexpensive but it sure is comfy and put together. I plan to invest more into my wardrobe this year but I will always love scoring bargains at Forever 21 and Target since  the quality is usually pretty great!

What do you think of this look? What pieces do you like to wear as transitional pieces when the weather is changing? Let me know in the comments form, I love hearing from you!

Thanks for stopping in!
