You know when you've worked really hard on something and it ends up turning out exactly as you pictured it and yet it's still missing a couple of little details to make it exactly perfect as you'd expect? Thats me with my kitchen at the moment. I picked every detail from the colors of the cabinets to the backsplash, cabinet handles, lighting and counter tops and it really is what I'd consider everything I'd ever imagined. At the same time it still needs some brush ups on a couple of tiny details. I still have plans to switch up my counter stools but have yet to find the ones I love most. I can't wait to share the photos of how it turned out since I've been talking about it nonstop since we moved into the new house! At the same time I am unsure of whether to wait till it's completed. I've already offered up a little sneak peek in my most recent youtube video so if your curious at all, you can go check that out here. I will share my own kitchen as soon as I possibly can, it is my pride and joy and the room where I spend most of my time, in fact a kitchen itself is the room that started it all for me as it's where my cooking journey began in the first place. In the meantime I am going to talk about this really great and unique kitchen I came across while scanning the web for design inspiration as usual.
I personally never considered black in a kitchen because I felt like it closed up the space and in my situation I didn't have too much to work with to begin with space wise. At the same time I absolutely love the cool vibe the black color gives this room. It's very modern looking and sleek with the pops of white thrown in from the curtains in the cabinets to the sinks and background on that interesting wall paper.
Do you like the color black in a kitchen? Or not so much?
If you don't want to go so bold, you can always decorate in that color with some great kitchen accessories!
Here are some that I've chosen:
Stelton Pure Black Knife, Waechtersbach Set of 4 Soup Bowls, Marimekko Pallo Black/White Mug, Jessie Steele Oven Mitt , Black KitchenAid Mixer, Black Stripe Cutting Board, Ralph Lauren Tooled Leather Charger, Paul Smith Ice Cube Tongs, Pols Potten Wire Braid Bowl, Black Martini Glasses, Matte Black Flatware Set, Paul Smith Ice Bucket
What do you think of the black design? Let me know in the comments form below, I love hearing your opinions!
