My Winter Foundation Routine

In the summer time I did a foundation routine video and post which went over pretty well. From then till now alot has changed not only due to me testing out so many new products but also because from season to season my skin changes with the weather and my face makeup gets altered with it. And so it was obvious to me that this weeks video needed to be all about my foundation routine this time for winter. In the video I also offered up some of tips and tricks that work well for me daily in applying the products perfectly. You will notice many differences from my summer face makeup routine, watch it here if you'd like or read till the end of the post where it will be inserted as usual.

Here is what I've been using lately:

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer in Color Correcting Adjust- A primer that calms the redness and hyper pigmentation in my cheeks is just what I like. I always put a primer on before heavier foundations that may settle into fine lines and not last as long otherwise. This one truly blurs out redness and my foundations glide right over top of it.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup Foundation in Classic Ivory- This foundation has been mentioned here before and I'm pretty sure it made it's debut in a recent favorites video too. The color matches me really well when I have pale winter skin and I like that it contains SPF 20 which keeps my face protected while it holds up looking flawless all day long.

ELF Studio Powder Brush- I have alot of favorite tools and brushes for applying foundation, this has been the one I've been turning to alot lately. It buffs the foundation into place so nicely since it has a flat top and that also ensures a airbrushed looking finish to any face product.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15 Fair - This has been my favorite concealer for a while now, it
brightens and conceals in areas I need it to, so whats not to love?

The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer- Bronzer that doesn't look orange or too muddy can be hard to find. This one is great for contouring in my cheek bone area because it blends out beautifuly.

Real Techniques Contour Brush- This brush has become my go to for contouring, highlighting and applying blush. For days when I just don't have time, a multi purpose brush can be really useful!

The Balm Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter- Although mine broke a while back, I have still gotten so much use out of this gorgeous champagne toned highlighter. I use it to highlight the tops of my cheek bones, over my forehead and top lip area as well.

Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amori 03- It's not every day that I use blush because I already have that redness in my cheeks. When I use a really full coverage foundation I find that it makes a nice addition. This one is a beautiful rosy pink!

Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder in Fair 010- The last step in my routine is to brush some powder over my entire face to set the makeup place and tone down any harsh lines. This one is fast becoming one of my most favored setting powders.
