Fall Cooking: My Top 12 Recipes

Pumpkins, apples, hearty vegetable soups, what are you thinking of? I assume your getting my drift. I believe it's time to finally get in the mood for Autumn since it's a week into October and the temperatures have dropped significantly already (brrr). It isn't my favorite time of year but there are certainly plenty of things I look forward to when it happens. With the cooler days and chilly nights I get excited for warm sweaters and boots, home organization (with all the time spent in), bold lips, burning candles etc. but most importantly I immediately begin craving comfort food. Fall is the best time to cozy up with a warming bowl of soup or sweet cup of hot chocolate and relax on the couch with a good book. I am definitely ready to embrace the fall season full on by now, how about you? If your feeling that fall vibe like I am, then you will most likely appreciate this recipe compilation I am sharing today. These are some of my favorite recipes from the archive for the new season. P.S. Get ready for a full dose of comfort food this fall and winter because I am working on developing some really great new recipes! Here's the round up. 12 savory fall dishes at your fingertips:

The combination of almond brittle breading, asian sauce and carrot scallion garnish take this fish to another level.

Soft and chewy, these chocolate chip cookie muffins will be the ultimate treat for any cookie lovers in your home.

What's better then two comfort foods in one to warm your body and soul?

Fall = Apple Picking. Am I right? So any dish with apples in it is going to go over well.

This pasta may sound difficult to prepare but this recipe includes every shortcut so putting it together from scratch will be simple.

Made with pumpkin puree, cinnamon and butterscotch chips, these pumpkin muffins will become a seasonal favorite for sure!

This recipe is non specific to a season really, but I haven't prepared it in a while and I think it'll make a great dinner dish in the coming weeks.

Have some fun with your basic hot chocolate and prepare some of this mocha white chocolate drink for a night time in. It's different and delicious!

Zucchini is incomparable in it's bland watteriness but roast it and put it in a soup and you get something truly tasty.

Looking for a steak recipe that gets you soft meat but isn't complicated to throw together? This is just the one.

Beets will only be in season for another month or so and nows your chance to incorporate them into a delicious vibrant healthy dish.

Root vegetables are very popular this time of year. Mashing some and topping them with crispy shallots will make a perfect side dish in any fall meal.
