Watermelon Pineapple Smoothie Recipe


 Sweet watermelons are a summertime staple in many homes as they add great flavor to smoothies, salads and many other warm weather dishes! I myself love watermelon and it's my first choice of fruit in these warmer months. For todays recipe, Watermelon, pineapple and green tea take a spin in the blender for a sensational summer smoothie. This healthy drink screams happiness and health to me. It's refreshing and light but energy boosting as well with all of the nutrients this fruit has to offer! This simple summer beverage is a snap to blend up for a summer soirĂ©e and beautiful looking as well with it's pretty pink color. What are you waiting for? Collect your ingredients, get your blender out and prepare yourself this healthy, thirst quenching treat!


Watermelon Pineapple Smoothie 

Makes about (4) 6 Ounce Glasses

Ingredients:

1 20 Oz. Can Dole Crushed Pineapple
1 4 lb. Wedge of Watermelon, Cubed
10 Ice Cubes
1/8 Cup Sugar or Sugar Substitute
1/2 Cup Cooled Green Tea

Method:

1. Cut your watermelon up into smaller pieces so that the blender will have an easier time. Add it to the blender cup along with the pineapple, ice cubes, sugar and green tea.

2. Blend well until all of the ingredients have come together and seem smooth, a little on the thicker side and frothy. 

3. Pour through a drink strainer if you want to remove those stringy pineapple pieces. 

4. Separate into glasses and serve with a small wedge of watermelon or lime for garnish.
