This weeks video is where I discuss all of the details included in my summer face makeup routine. I have been using each and every one of these products from the start of summer until now and I do find that they work very well for me and last nicely throughout the day. During these warmer months I like to keep my base light by using bb creams, cc creams and tinted moisturizers. The specific one I'm using at the moment- Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream doesn't blend well on it's own and the shade I chose is a bit orange and dark. To make it work I blend it with my favorite self tanning moisturizer- Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer for Medium to Tan Skin Tones. This tones down the color a little and really aids in blending the color out seamlessly. Another reason why the CC cream works so well for me is because it has a SPF of 30 which protects my skin from harmful sun rays all day. I mix those two products on the back of my hand and then dot the mixture over my face. Next, I smooth and blend it all out over my face using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush being sure to get the area under my eye and bringing it down onto my neck too to be sure it all looks seamless. I then dot some of my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade 15 Fair under my eyes and in any areas of redness on my cheeks and around my nose. I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to smooth out most of the concealer and then the Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush to get in under my eyes and in the inner corners of my eyes and blend. Once I've reached the coverage I like and covered the hyper pigmentation in my cheeks, I move onto contouring my cheeks with my The Balm Bahama Mama Matte Bronzer and my Coastal Scents 105 Angled Brush to give myself some more cheek bone which I don't feel I have a lot of naturally. I then brush the same bronzer over my temples, up into my hairline and then over my jaw area to give my face shape. Using The Balm Mary Loumanizer on my ELF Fan Brush I then highlight my cheekbones, the center of my nose, my forehead and chin. The last step is to take my Large Powder Brush from ELF and getting some Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder on it, brush it all over my face. This keeps my face matte and helps all of the products I've applied to last all day. I have come to love the routine I have set and those items I use on my face daily. They certainly aren't completely water resistant but hold up really well through the heat and humidity which is quite impressive.
