It's that time of month again, when I gather all of the things I have been loving from all ends of the beauty department and share them with you. I feel like I just finished talking about last months favorites. Somehow I have still managed to gather up quite a few things that I have used religiously all through the month of June to explain why they have been so good to me. As usual there is in fact a video to go along with this post and you can either click here to watch it now or read through to the bottom of the post where it will be inserted as well. It is rare that I have such a small amount of products to rave about especially in the makeup category. This month I revisited some old favorites and experimented with lots of new pieces so there wasn't as many new things to talk about. Without further ado here are the things I have been adoring throughout the month of June:
Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream* (Full Review here) Mixed with my Jergens moisturizer this CC cream is flawless. It blends in to my skin smoothly and stays in place looking fresh all day. As for the skin care benefits it promises I have yet to see any of them come to fruition. Nevertheless this has been my go to base for my daily makeup looks.
The Balm Mary Loumanizer- As soon as I lifted this out of the box from the most recent haul I knew I was going to love it. This highlighter is so gorgeous, super pigmented and gives me a nice glow without making me look greasy-(ewww!) I have to say I am so impressed with the items I have tried from The Balm so far and I look forward to trying more of their products very soon.
Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara-I will admit I was a little skeptical about this one at first but it truly is a great mascara. It gives me volume, length and very black lashes- what more can I ask? The only thing that bothers me about it is it's very wet in formulation that can easily get everywhere around my lashes if I'm not very careful during application.
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eye shadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige- When I first tried this I absolutely hated it because it creased up almost immediately I learnt that it just needs to set in for a moment before anything is applied on top of it and then it does not budge all day. The champagne gold color is absolutely magnificent with so many eye shadow looks.
Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip Plumper Tokyo- This is another piece I wasn't sure about when I used it the first time because I'm not a fan of lip plumpers. This one doesn't feel too tingly though so it doesn't bother me. The no fuss application, rosy color and balmy feel are my favorite characteristics.
Opi's On Collins Ave- (full review here) although this is a fairly new one for me it was love at first sight. I wore it for the entire last 2 weeks of June. The summery coral red color is just amazing on my nails and I love the quick dry formulation of it. The fact that it chips pretty quick is easily overlooked for those reasons- touch ups are worth it when you find a nail polish this pretty I guess.
Gelish Nourish Cuticle Oil- My cuticles have been complaining ever since the end of winter, they are just so dry! When I was purchasing the OPI polish I came across this and I do think it works well for what it is. My nail beds are definitely thanking me.
Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Pore Scrub- My sister gave this one to me at the beginning of the month. We tend to pass things to each other that just aren't working that well for us as we have very different skin types. This one didn't work well for her since she has very dry skin. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone. I was very unlucky with my skin at one point this month with some really nasty blemishes under the skin that hurt terribly. This took care of them easily by drying them out and not allowing them to stay around. I did pair this with a moisturizer where it was needed to avoid drying out the rest of my face. It also smells amazing and does a nice job of exfoliating.
Jane Scrivner Nourishing Cleanser*- This was a sample sent to me from England. A full review is coming very soon but I couldn't help mentioning it as it has been my choice product for removing my face makeup ever since it arrived. It's balm like in texture and I wouldn't say it scrubs my skin but it does melt away my entire face of makeup within seconds of applying it.
Batiste Dry Shampoo Floral & Blush- (full review here) This is the first dry shampoo I have ever tried and I can easily see why so much hype surrounds it. It is one heck of a hair product! It give my hair volume and soaks up excess grease and dirt very easily. Plus it smells amazing. It is just what my hair and wig needs to hold out between washes.
There are also a few bonuses at the end of my video this month including a fashion item and random item as well as an item I mentioned that is now on my "misses" list because it failed to impress. Go watch the video to see those additions that will be a part of my favorites videos from now on.
