I mentioned purchasing this gorgeous coral nail polish called 240 Coral Silk in my previous post and I have already painted my nails with it on two separate occasions since. I tried the white color that I'd bought along with it from the same Covergirl Outlast line. It didn't last more then a day before chipping. I'll be using it as a base coat to make other shades more vibrant but won't be wearing it on it's own in the future. This one does last a bit longer then the white one and I am absolutely in love with the color. I think it looks really nice with the summer tan I'm beginning to build up. I paired it with one of my favorite glitter nail polishes this time. If you have been reading my blog for any length of time you will most likely know that that is Opi's Golden Eye. I like the look of just one nail on each hand being painted with a different color (glitter, metallic, neon). It's a pretty effortless nail art look to achieve and I have been wearing that alot.
As you may have noticed I have not gotten any better at self manicures (painted cuticles, leftover white nail polish and all) but really that's not the point right? ;) but honestly I do just want to give you an idea of what the color truly looks like.
The nail polish itself is just alright. Like I mentioned before it only lasts 2 days or so before chipping. Also I needed to put about 3 coats to get it to that totally opaque finish I like for my nail polishes which can be a nuisance when you just don't have that extra few minutes to wait for it to dry between coats. The brush is a little wider then I like and quite a bit wider in comparison to the Essie ones. I do like the handle on it though as it's large and square and makes it easy to control for an even application.
As of now I haven't decided whether or not I will purchase any more shades from this line. They go for about $5.99 and there was a good promotion going on when I picked them up so if I see another deal going on I may just go ahead and do that. I am eyeing the color grapevine which looks like a really interesting purple and midnight magic seems like a great green so I guess time will tell.
