Drugstore Beauty Haul+ Swatches

Retail therapy is good for everyone from time to time in my opinion. I went to Walgreens recently and found lots of new beauty related things to purchase. This weeks YouTube video details each and every item in full so go check that out if you want to get some ideas for your Spring and Summer beauty shopping. I have tried several of these already and can therefore give a brief summary on those that I have. Otherwise there will be full reviews up within the next few weeks so keep a look out for that.

Here's what I got:

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation SPF 20 "Creamy Ivory 10"- I like a dewy skin look during the warmer months and that is what drew me in with this one. It gives my skin that glowy dewy finish but it's a bit heavier then what I usually go for. Unless I am going for that really full coverage makeup, I've been mixing it with a moisturizer for every day. The price is a bit steep ($14) for a foundation that small from the drugstore so I don't know that I'll be running out to repurchase once I finish this one.

Maybelline Clean Express Ultra Gentle Eye Makeup Remover- This has quickly become my go-to eye makeup remover to use nightly. I ran out of it so of course I had to purchase a new one. P.S. I picked up the Classic version accidentally but I like the Waterproof one better so when I finish this one I'll be back to that.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Polish 110 "Snowstorm" & 240 "Coral Silk": I usually stick with Essie polishes since I find they work well for me. But at $5.99 and with a buy one get one 50% off promotion I just couldn't skip on a good deal. These do take 2-3 coats to be completely opaque and I've noticed that they chip within a day or so as well. Either way I'm happy I purchased these since the colors are lovely. I'll have a nail of the day post up soon for these so check back for that!

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick 006 Ultimate Orchid & 010 Premium Pink- I have a nude shade of these lipsticks and absolutely love it since it lasts ages on my lips. Therefore, I thought it was time to get some more colors. I went for the pinks this time. I'm really looking forward to wearing these!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain 040 "Rendezvous"- I've always been a huge fan of Revlon lip products but I was a bit unsure on these. After reading amazing reviews though I caved and got one. I am so glad I did. It gives me gorgeous opaque color with a balmy feeling on the lips and it also lasts a few hours! I've been a bit crazy for coral lately and so the shade was a must have!

Loreal Infallible 8 Hour Le Gloss 320 "Red Fatale"- These are meant to be an 8 hour formula. I haven't found that to be the case. The color is very pretty but the gloss itself is really sticky. I don't think I'll be purchasing more of these even though I do like the colors offered.

Wet 'N' Wild 903C "Just Peachy" Lipstick- I was really impressed with the pigmentation and lasting power on this $2.99 peachy colored lipstick. I would recommend applying lip balm in ahead of time though as it may otherwise dry out the lips.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder O11 Creamy Natural- I have a combination skin so that matte finish is useful for my t-zone area in the warmer months. I like this translucent pressed powder so far. It does what it is supposed to which is set my face products in place.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eye Shadow Stick Crayon 002 Bulletproof Beige- I chose this one solely for it's color. So far I would say I don't really love this as it creased up on me the first time I wore it. I will continue to try it though and see if I can make it work.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal "Taupe"- I wanted to have a brown eye pencil on hand to use in conjunction with my more natural eye makeup looks. The lasting power is great in the waterline but it isn't super creamy so if you have sensitive eyes this may not be the best choice for you. I have also tried it in my brows which I didn't find to be as great.

Rimmel Match Perfection Skin Tone Adapting Concealer 245 "Light"- This is my least favorite item from the entire purchase. It doesn't highlight the under eye area and the shade "light" isn't very light or brightening at all. It does work as a spot concealer though so I won't toss it in the trash quite  yet.

Loreal Infallible Eye Shadow 337 "Endless Sea"& 888 "Iced Latte"- I already owned a bronze one of these eye shadows which I consider pigments. They are shimmery on the lids and they last all day. I chose a pretty teal shade and a cream/champagne one which I think go really well with the whole Summer theme. I hope to do an eye makeup tutorial with these eye shadows very soon as well so look out for that.

Wet 'N' Wild 332 I'm Feeling Retro Eye Shadow Palette- I have to say Wet 'N' Wild makes some of the best eye shadows available at the drugstore. The color choices and combinations are right on the mark and the pigmentation amazes me every time. I picked this one up for that purple color which is surprisingly a gorgeous duo chrome!

Wet 'N' Wild Color Icon SPF 15 Bronzer 740 Bikini Contest- This bronzer is very pigmented and it goes on really smoothly but I do feel like the color is a bit too orange. My plan is to use a light hand with applying it and use it as an all over the face bronzer instead of as a contour powder.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Floral & Fruity "Blush"- I had been eyeing the regular size of this dry shampoo but I decided to go with a mini version so I could get a feel of what I thought of it first. I've only used it a few times but I can definitely say I'll get the larger version next since I love everything about it. It has an amazing scent and it gives my hair a good refresh as well as adding some volume.
