My April 2013 Beauty Favorites

Time for this months selection of beauty favorites. As I was looking through my makeup to do this post I thought I would have a hard time finding any new favorites but I was surprised to see that there was plenty of new products I'd been really loving this past month. I am excited to be able to share them with you even though we are a bit into May already.

Makeup Products:

Mac Face & Body Foundation  in the shade N2- This foundation works really well for me. It's a very light coverage foundation so I can get a very natural look with it and as it is a water based it needs to be worked into the skin very well but I have found that it sets to a beautiful long lasting water resistant finish.

LORAC Front of the Line Pro Black Liquid Eyeliner- I've done an entire post dedicated to this eyeliner previously (click here to read) so I'll keep it simple. I also used it in my most recent eye makeup tutorial. This eyeliner is really nice for creating a perfectly thin line since it has such a precise brush tip. Also, It is very black and it lasts all day once it's applied.

Loreal Infallible 8 Hour Legloss 140 Pink Topaz- This fuchsia colored lipgloss is so lovely on my lips for those days when I'm in the mood of some bolder color. The only downside is that it's a bit sticky but I assume that is what keeps it on for as long as 2 hours- pretty good wear for a lipgloss. As for it's claims of 8 hours, I think that is a huge exaggeration as I have yet to see that kind of wear.

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick 070 Best Bubbly- I love the formulation of these long lasting lipsticks from Revlons Colorstay line. They don't feel sticky or too dry once they set into the lips and they really are impressive in their lasting time. This one is a peachy brown nude color with the slightest shimmer. I must expand on my collection with these since I like them so much.

E.L.F. Glitter Gloss Sparkling Wine- (Full Review here) I really like the color of this E.L.F. lipgloss and I was happy that it didn't feel super sticky either but of course that means it doesn't have fantastic staying power. Either way this line is super affordable and the gloss is great as a throw in your purse lip product. It tops off on any lip color and makes it look just lovely.

Nivea Kiss of Shimmer Radiant Lip Care Sunscreen SPF 15- When I am in a dry lip bind this product comes to the rescue. I like to apply this before going to sleep as a part of my nighttime routine and by morning I have smooth soft hydrated lips. It also has a hint of sparkly color so I can wear it out in the day time without my lips looking totally bare.

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24 Hour Cream Eyeshadow 30 Pomegranate Punk- As I've said several times  I have become quite obsessed with cream shadows for their formulation and lasting power. This one is no exception and I am extremely taken with it's red burgundy tones next to my brown eyes.

Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadow in the shade Gemstone*- I have talked about these so much already (read about them here). Although I love my Maybelline ones these are far superior in their creaminess and ability to blend. Plus they come in loads of lovely shades.

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara in Black*- This mascara has a pretty big wand but it's not too large that it feels like it'll poke your eyeball out in the process of applying. It's very black and it gives my lashes volume, length and separation so I couldn't be more happy with it.

Jergens Natural Glow Firming Daily Moisturizer- This moisturizer is fantastic as it doubles as a self tanner. It keeps my skin hydrated, gives my extremely pale skin some color and creates a soft focus on my face that makes it look totally even and almost flawless, so of course I love that and I have been using it on a daily basis lately.

Mastic Spa Diamond Renaissance 24 Hour Regenerating Cream*- This product was sent to me all the way from Greece. Compared to the others I received along with it this one stood out to me the most with it's sleek packaging and great scent. A  full review of this product along with some of their other products as well as a giveaway is coming very soon so look out for that. I have been using it nightly ever since it arrived and have really been enjoying what it has done to my skin. Also it smells amazing!

Essie Wheres My Chauffeur Nail Polish- I bought this one at the beginning of this month and I immediately applied it for it's lovely light blue spring color. I was disappointed to find that it stained my nails and I am still looking for a solution to that problem. Either way it's the perfect robin blue shade.

Essie Sweet Tart Nail Polish- This is another great spring polish. It's a light purple color with a slight shimmer to it and I love how it looks on my nails.

Demart Nail Enamel Dryer Manicurists Finishing Spray- This spray is alot like a top coat in what it does. It has been such a lifesaver for me on so many occasions ever since discovering it. I spray this all over my nails after I do an at home manicure and within three minutes my nails are completely dried as though I had a manicure 2 days before.

Brushes/Brush Care:

Real Techniques Buffing Brush- This is my favorite brush to apply my foundation with. It really buffs the foundation into my skin for that flawless finish I love.

Japonesque Professional Brush Cleaner- This brush cleaner is meant to be used as a spot treatment and I use it to give my brushes a quick clean whenever I need. It has a citrus scent which isn't my favorite but if you like the smell of oranges you will love it. It gives my brushes a very good clean but they then dry really quickly to be used again in minutes.

Hair Products:

Biosilk Silk Therapy Shine On Spray- as a Jewish religious  married women I wear wigs to cover my hair as is our custom. I have a few wigs. My most worn one is the one I wear daily and I like to style it on my own so I wash it and let it air dry. I sometimes use styling tools with heat on a very low setting to style it as well. I have an entire set of styling products set aside just for that and I will perhaps dedicate an entire post to that subject at some point. This is one of my favorite products to use on my wig as it is a bit like a dry shampoo in the sense that it gives it a nice shine and some body until I can wash it again.
