Friday Fashion: Modest Looks That I Love For Spring & Summer

I did one of these kinds of posts a little while back for some fall and winter inspiration so now I am here with my Spring and Summer version. One of the important guidelines I adhere to as a Jewish religious women is donning modest attire which pretty much means covering my hair (since I am married) and fashion-wise my elbows, knees and collarbone. With the hot weather finally here I will admit it can be quite the challenge to find the perfect outfits while staying true to my modesty and keeping cool at the same time. At the same time I find it really fun to put together interesting outfits within that limit. If you've seen my fashion lookbook video on youtube then you will have already gotten an idea of how I dress and I look forward to putting up more of my looks over here at the blog and in video form again over there as well. The best form of inspiration for me has definitely got to be photos of other fashion bloggers, runway models and even random ones from pinterest all of whom are dressed modestly. I will now share with you some of the photos that are really inspiring me right now for my Spring and Summer looks:

As you can see I'm really liking bright colors- greens, yellow, blues and orange. Which of these looks is your favorite and which can you see yourself rocking this Spring and Summer? Let me know in the comments form below..I'd really love to hear form you!!

Also, I recently came across this website called mademod.com  and they link you to modest pieces all over the web for a great price which I think is pretty awesome! Here are some of the ones I love most:

go to their site here if you'd like to shop any of these specific pieces!

some pictures in this post are from google or pinterest.  all of which have been given credit for. if a photo is yours and you would like it removed please contact me by email or in the comments section below and I will gladly comply immediately.

  1. Hi Gigi, I really admire your adherence to modest clothing, I follow this style stance as well. There are really elegant looks out there that work as well if not better than skimpier clothing. Awesome inspiration!
