I know it's not March anymore, but with the holiday at the end of the month I just didn't get around to my monthly kitchen post and my blog just can't be without it! I really love architecture & design, so much so that when I was younger I was pretty sure I would go to school to be an interior decorator or designer one day but that was before I realized that I wanted to do something that involved beauty after all. So anyways to make a long story short I am always very intrigued by photos of beautifully designed rooms from all over the house but as I spend the most time in my own kitchen at home it's the one I look out for most. For that reason I get so excited when I scroll through pinterest and find a beauty like this one. The details I love most about this kitchen are: A) The megaphone shaped hanging lights B) The simple brown island with it's abundance of drawer space for storing dishes, aprons or cookbooks C) The brown and navy cushioned stools which make the perfect addition to the island for an easy breakfast area option D) The amount of natural light coming in from those large sliding doors and window. The details I'm not so crazy about: A) The dining area-which I think this kitchen could do without. Although it's lovely I feel it would be better as a separate room. B) The exposed brick behind the stove area. I love exposed brick but I just don't think it suits this specific look.
