Makeup Product Review: Loreal Lineur Intense Brush Tip Liquid Eyeliner

fklfklkflfs

Product Description:

What Loreal Says about it: "Stand out with a dramatically bold or sleek look. Lineur Intense Brush Tip Liquid Eyeliner has a tapered natural brush that gives you the control to create the most precise lines for your desired eye looks"

I have mentioned before that I prefer liquid liners for my upper lash line, especially if I will be creating a winged look. This is one of the first I ever tried.

Here is what I think of it:

Item Specifics & What I Think:

Formulation: It has an extremely liquidey feeling consistency but it dries really quickly and doesn't smudge everywhere. It's brush is short and thin but it's handle is long enough and easy to grip to apply a precise line.

The pigmentation: The color is fantastic- a really rich black shade that stays shiny looking even after it dries.

Variety: This liner is only available in black or brown, so not much to choose from but you do get the basics.

Quality and Lasting Power: This eyeliner wasn't bothersome or irritating to my eyes like some can be but I must admit I was very disappointed with the amount of time it stayed on my lids. I do not have oily lids and even so it didn't last more then 4 hours before beginning to peel and sort of just coming off. So I wouldn't recommend this for a special event where long wear is needed.

The packaging- I like that it's small and easy to carry around with a nice screw on applicator brush.

Price: very decent, going for only $9.50 at most drugstores.

Overall:

I liked the formulation of this liner alot and with that price you can not go wrong, but I was not impressed with the wear time. On a day to day basis I want my eyeliner last me at least 8 hours so that I don't have to re-apply or touch up at all. In comparison to some of my other liquid liners this just didn't cut it in that aspect. For that reason I can't really see myself purchasing this one again.

Application Tips:

Applying liquid eyeliner is not as difficult as you may think. It can be so simple with just a little practice.
1) Rest your arm on a solid surface to keep your hand steady.
2) Wipe the brush off a little before applying, having too much product to work with could get messy.
3) Start at the inner corner keeping it very thin and then thickening it out as you head towards the outer corner.
4) Keep the brush to the side instead of straight towards your eye and in short strokes apply the product as close to the lash line as possible.

  5. Great review! I'm a total klutz with liquid liner. I've tried all kinds like the ones with the felt tip. I guess I just prefer gel or pencil liners .. much more forgiving.

    1. yeah I think alot of people have a hard time with liquid liners the pen ones are best for that and it only takes practic but stick with whats good for you either way! great I love your blog and I look forward to seeing that post. xx.

  6. Cool, it has a short brush! I hate liners that have long brushes, you can't do anything with that. I'll definitely try this one out when I'm done with mine, thanks for the hint.;)
