Makeup Product Review: Loreal Visible Lift Serum Absolute Liquid Foundation 144 Light Ivory

Loreal Visible Lift Serum Foundation: 144 Light Ivory
Product Description:
What Loreal says about their Visible Lift Foundation 1.0 fl oz $12.48: Introducing a breakthrough in age minimizing makeup. Only visible lift features an age reversing serum of 5 ingredients in 1 luminous makeup. It instantly evens out skin tone with a luxurious lightweight formula that doesn't settle into fine lines & wrinkles. The potent formula addresses 5 signs of aging to visibly transform skin to smoother, firmer, brighter, even and flawless.
Although I know of a few foundations that I love and could easily settle for I still like to try many different ones mostly out of curiosity. I am always on the lookout for a great drugstore foundation!  I was just running out of the most recent trial- The E.L.F Studio Flawless Finish Foundation and was searching for my next when I read a rave review for this one. Although it has all these great anti aging properties that's not what attracted me as I'm still pretty young but hey it doesn't hurt to prepare. The local drugstore was having a great sale on Loreal and so I picked it up. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and I can now say what I think of it:

What I Like:
-Medium-full coverage when layered and blends in wonderfully to create a flawless look. It also evens out the skin tone and covers any slight problem areas but at the same time feels extremely lightweight on the skin once it's applied which is really nice.
- Characterized with a beautiful natural matte finish but still has a nice luminosity. It holds up well throughout a 8-10 hour work day for my normal-combination skin after being powdered.
-Available in 12 Shades so many different skin tones can be suited. The shade 144 light ivory matches my pale complexion almost perfectly.
-This foundation contains SPF 17. Even in the winter time SPF is something I will not be without.
-The packaging is a nice glass and doesn't feel junky. It comes with a pump attachment which is always fantastic and it dispenses the exact amount needed and just two small pumps is enough to use for my entire face and neck.
 What I Don't Like:
- As it has anti aging properties I thought it may be moisturizing but It's not great for very dry skin. My t-zone is oily in the summer but in the winter it gets very dry and this foundation settles in that area and flakes after about an hour or two- not the best look. I usually just use a lot of moisturizer there before hand and that works. I feel like it would be best for normal to moderately dry skin. Very dry skinned and very oily skinned individuals may have trouble with it. Shouldn't give any trouble to those with acne prone skin though.
-The actual shade is a little lighter on the skin then it seems in the bottle so it could be a little tricky to match in the store.
-For a drugstore foundation $13.00 is a bit much for just 1.0 oz of product in my opinion.

Overall: This foundation is not too bad. It would probably be better for me in the Summer time when my skin is less dry but I do like the coverage, finish and longevity.

As you can see in the swatch this shade does look a little darker and yellow against my pale skin but it blends out to match almost perfectly.
