Delicious Foods We've Been Enjoying Lately: Incorporating Sweet Summer Fruits

Summer is now coming to it's close. I never thought I'd feel this way but I'm actually looking forward to fall with it's crisp but not yet freezing weather, lovely colorful leaves scattered on the ground and switching up my wardrobe and makeup routine to suit the fall atmosphere and tones. There is one thing that I will miss terribly and that is these fantastic sweet summer fruits- there's nothing like em'! These past few weeks I've made sure to enjoy them as much as possible before saying goodbye to summer until next year. I've been incorporating them into many dishes and it gave each one such a great source of color and taste. Whether it be a salad, dinner meal or even a desert, we've truly been enjoying fruits of all types- peaches, mango's, watermelon and more. So feast your eyes on some of my top picks from the dishes we've been having lately incorporating those great summer fruits. I will try to get some of these recipes up as well in the next little while.

Balsamic Roasted Peach Salad with Black Olive Rings, Slivered Red Onion, Salad Greens and Toasted Cashews- (not able to be seen in the pictures)

Peaches "N" Cream Crumble- Really simple to put together and absolutely delicious as a summer desert.

Get to Know Me Better & Liebster Award Tag

I need to start by apologizing for the week long blog break. It wasn't really my intention.  It started with the typical busy beginning of the week and then unfortunately one of my husband's uncles who was very ill passed away. I am sure it can be understood how that would effect me and that the blogging then came to a short halt.

Anyways I am back and what a nice comment to come back to: It was so nice of Annette Velsh of http://livingtherepurposefullife.blogspot.com/ to tag me in this Liebster tag. She has a lovely blog as well, so go check that out for some inspiration. Thanks so much for tagging me Annette!

This is my very first award/tag and it sure is a great way of discovering new blogs especially those that have less then 200 followers. The rules are pretty simple:

 1. Write 11 things about yourself
                 2. Answer the questions from the blogger that tagged you
                 3. Tag 11 other bloggers with less then 200 followers with this award.
     4. Tell those 11 bloggers that you've awarded them with this tag.

So here goes:

11 Random Things About Me:

1. All things Cooking and beauty related aside, some of my favorite activities and hobbies are scrapbooking, listening to music and singing along hehe, cleaning & organizing my apartment, reading a book, drinking tea, playing with my gorgeous son, blogging of course, rollerblading or biking, dinner with my awesome husband, swimming, taking photos etc.

2. I try to be as healthy as I possibly can- I drink alot of water, take vitamins daily, apply sunscreen before walking out the door ( even in the winter), wear sunglasses outside most of the time, try to do some form of exercise for 30 minutes to an hour every day- walking, turbo-fire, sit ups and incorporate healthier foods like fruits and veggies into my every day diet.

3. I absolutely adore spending time with my close family and friends. There is nothing like it!

4.  I love small animals- cats, dogs, goldfish, hamsters, you name it. I don't own any animals at this time. Their just so cute.

5. I'm super shy around people I don't know or amongst big crowds.

6. My favorite color is turquoise.

7. I am left handed. I do absolutely everything with my left hand- cut with scissors, write, paint, apply eyeliner. Makes it pretty difficult for a self manicure.

8. I hardly ever wear bracelets or watches or any jewelry on my wrists, they just annoy me.

9. My favorite foods are mushrooms, avocado, cheese and potatoes.

10. I start every single day with a homemade cup of coffee. I'm not addicted- I could go without it easily. I just like how it tastes and it gets me on track for accomplishing everything I need to get done.

11. There are a few things I always take along with me when I go out- my phone, license, keys, headphones a lip gloss and my library card ;)

Annettes Tag Questions:

1. How and when did you start blogging and why?
I started blogging in 2009. It started with my realization of how much I loved to cook and wanting to share my recipes with others. Soon after I decided to incorporate my love for cosmetics and beauty and share my tips with others as a newly certified makeup artist.

2. What's the best beauty tip or trick you've learnt recently?
Wipe the mascara wand off on a tissue before applying to avoid clumps.

3. Do you have any beauty confessions?
I tend to forget primer when applying my own face makeup. I always use it when applying makeup on clients and I recommend it to everyone as it helps to achieve a longer lasting makeup look. Sometimes I'm just in a rush to get ready and it gets left out.

4. What's your favorite item in your wardrobe right now?
My turquoise pencil skirt.

5. Food you can't live without?
Mac and Cheese. I love it but it's not so dire that I can't live without it ;)

6. Do you have a signature scent? if so what is it?
I like to switch up my scent pretty often so I tend to purchase roller balls and only purchase the larger bottles of perfumes that I absolutely love. My all time favorites are Ralph Lauren Romance, Burberry Britt, Michael Kors Gold and Bath and Body Works Twilight Woods.

7.What's the color of your nail polish at the moment?
Essie's off the shoulder from the Summer 2012 Collection

8. What are your top fashion stores?
Forever 21, Zara, H&M and J Crew

9. What's the accessory you can't do without?
Sunglasses. To avoid wrinkles that come from squinting and sun damage to the exposed eyes.

10. Which season do you most prefer?
Summer By Far. I love the heat since I'm a naturally cold person. I feel like my summer wardrobe and makeup routine are far more interesting then the other months as well.

11. What are your beauty musts for the upcoming months?
I'll probably incorporate some of fall 2012's makeup trends into my looks- glowy skin, winged liner, smokey eyes, metallic shades, defined brows, bolder lips-don't know that I will wear reds and maroons but bolder then nudes and light pinks surely.

And here are the bloggers that I am tagging in this Liebster award. If you were tagged and have  not yet been tagged for this award feel free to do the tag! These are blogs that go along with my blog theme (food, beauty, photography, interior design, fashion, art) or that are just of interest to me/ inspiring to me. Go check them out!

GKK End Of Summer 2012 Beauty Favorites

As the end of Summer 2012 creeps closer I try not to think about how it really is almost over. It feels like it only just started. Somehow the cold winter months seem to drag along and my favorite time of year- Summer seems to pass me right by. I thought I would share some of the things that I have been enjoying these past few months of Summer in the beauty category. I'm sure I will continue to enjoy some of these items well into fall as well.

1) Sonia Kashuk Remove Eye Makeup Remover- During the summer months I make sure to wear eye makeup that is waterproof to avoid smudging or meltdown in the heat. Therefore I need an unbelievable eye makeup remover when I am ready to take it my makeup off. After trying many I have finally found one that fits that description. It takes my eye makeup off so easily without causing oily eyes or any discomfort at all. I have been using this every time I remove my eye makeup this summer and I plan to purchase another bottle when I finish this one.

2) Garnier Skin Renew BB Cream in Light/Medium- With the weather being super hot, I like to wear products that don't feel heavy on the skin but give a good coverage at the same time. The fact that this product contains SPF 15 makes it great for summertime and I manage to achieve a pretty flawless affect using very little of this product and a buffing brush to kind of buff it into the skin. It is super easy to apply with fingers for a quick application in the morning if needed. I don't think it is meant to be a full coverage product, so although it works great for my every day summer face routine I'll prob finish it off and not necessarily repurchase.

3) Loreal Infallible Eye Shadow in 890 Bronzed Taupe- This eye shadow is a dazzling bronze color. This color just makes me think of summer sun. It's pretty simple to apply and blend and it can be used lightly for a more natural every day look or easily layered up for a night out. I used this product in a recent eye makeup tutorial so go check that out for ideas on how to use it if you would like.

   4) Dolce And Gabanna "The One" Eau De Parfum RollerBall Perfume- I have worn this rollerball perfume ever since I received it with my Ulta order at the start of this summer. It's a lovely scent. I feel like rollerballs are the best perfume option for me since they don't run out too quickly and don't take up too much space for storage and traveling. They are also very easy to roll right on anywhere. This scent will always remind me of this summers great memories so ill probably end up getting another one somewhere down the line. It's not one of my longest lasting scents but it has the perfect mix of woodsy and floral notes to it which is why I love it.

5) OPI Nail Polish in "Thanks A Windmillion" and Essie Nail Polish in "Off The Shoulder- I've been wearing alot of either pastel shades or bright neons on my nails this summer. And these are for sure the two that I've switched off between and worn most this summer season. One is a more creamy mint green which is very flattering on my nails and the other a neon pink which just adds so much to any look. (I don't think the second one is translating accurately on camera or showing up as neon as it actually is.) It is truly such a bright gorgeous color.

6) Elf Studio Cool Bronzer quad-  this E.L.F. bronzer is supposed to be a great dupe for Nars Laguna. I own Nars Laguna and absolutely love it. I purchased this one to see if that was actually the case and I don't think so. But, I still think this quad is fabulous. I like that it comes with 2 bronzer shades, a blush and highlighter. I use the bronzer in the lower left corner the most out of the entire palette as a contour shade. I like the color because it's a very natural bronze- not too orange or too brown and it has a tiny bit of shimmer in it which makes it the perfect summer bronze. It's very subtle but it adds enough depth where it is needed. That being said, it's not nearly as pigmented or smooth as the Nars Laguna bronzer but it works very well and is a much less expensive option.

7) Revlon Lip Gloss in the shade "Bellini" and Nyx Lipgloss in the shade "Beige"- I gravitate towards lighter lip products like glosses and balms for summer. All sorts of nude and pink shades are what I wear most in general. The Revlon one is what I go for when I'm looking for a natural lip that still has that pretty shine (I recently reviewed it in full so go check that out here) The NYX one is not at all beige like it's name. It's a lovely pink shade that is very pigmented and is what I choose when I want a nice pop of color on my lips. (I will be doing a full review for that product here on the blog very soon so I won't go into much more detail at this time)

8) Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara in Jet Black- I have been absolutely loving this mascara. It gives me a very full lash with lots of volume, flares them out nicely and doesn't clump. It doesn't say that it is waterproof anywhere on the packaging but it feels like it is as it lasts on my lashes like a waterproof mascara would and is very difficult to remove without a good makeup remover. This mascara has more of a dry formula and it has my favorite kind of mascara wand - instead of drenching the lashes with a ton of mascara it glides through my lashes smoothly while separating and lengthening.

9) Real Techniques By Samantha Chapman Buffing Brush - I recently ordered a bunch of the real techniques brushes with my latest Ulta order. I have never loved a brush as much as I do with this one. It makes my face products go on so smoothly and set to an airbrushed finish. I am so excited to try more of these brushes as I am very impressed with them.

Have you tried any of these products? Are any of them a favorite of yours too? What are some beauty products that you have been loving lately? Feel free to leave me a comment below telling me all about it! I love to hear from my you!

August's Kitchen of The Month: The Kitchen Featured in Food Network Magazine's Latest Issue

As I mention in every kitchen of the month post, I love kitchens! I have always loved beautiful architecture, interior design and such.  Being the foodie that I am and the amount of time I spend in my own kitchen, I am constantly in search of gorgeous kitchens- with different interesting designs- modern, colorful, rustic whatever it might be these kitchens are a feast for my eyes! I try to keep a mental note on specific things that I would like to incorporate into my kitchen some day as I pin them or blog them etc.

As I flipped through Food Network Magazine's latest issue (which recently arrived for the month of September) I was of course hoping for some cooking inspiration but I stopped to marvel when I reached the page with their featured kitchen. It belongs to cooking channel host, Jeffrey Saad and it is absolutely fabulous! My favorite parts of this specific kitchen are the "exposed brick" archway and that same brick in the backdrop of the oven area, the island with it's built in sink and freezer and the commercial looking refrigerator with it's big glass doors that can be seen right through- a good reason to keep it very clean and organized and super easy to be aware of what needs to be restocked.

These photos were found and taken from pinterest.

What are your favorite parts of this kitchen?

Are you subscribed to the Food Network Magazine? If you enjoy all things food like I do, you will love their magazine- it's filled with great recipes as well as other interesting food inspiration.

I appreciate every single one of my readers. Please say hi! I very much enjoy seeing your comments!

Makeup Tip of The Week: Applying Makeup For Photos and Specific Products I Recommend Using

When you are preparing to be somewhere where photos will be taken of you, you will naturally want to look your very best. The makeup that you wear will have a huge impression on how the photos turn out. So whether it's just a night out, photo shoot or a special event- perhaps even your own wedding day, you will want to keep this in mind during your preparations. Applying makeup for being on camera and makeup for looking flawless in person have many differences. One thing that I have always found to be true is that exaggerating makeup just a little bit more then usual when you are applying it in front of the mirror won't hurt because when you will be in front of the actual cameras with their bright lights and flashes the look will appear lighter and more natural. Also, apply the makeup in natural light- you will get the best photos this way. Let me try to inspire you with my tips on looking your best in photos from face to eye, lips and brows along with some products that I like to use and can recommend to you:

For the Face:

- For the face makeup you want to create the perfect canvas from the start- a good skin care routine is key- so cleanse, tone and moisturize as you need in accordance to your skin type. You will then want to use a primer- (can be applied with your fingers) in all the areas that face products will be used. This will help optimize your face products longevity.- Mac's Prep and Prime is my preferred primer. You may normally like to wear light bases like tinted moisturizers and bb creams when you are off camera. For photos you will want to use a foundation as it will give you the most even finish. Don't forget to blend your foundation down onto your neck (until where the neck line on what you are wearing will be) as well as up onto your ears if your hair will be pulled back away from them. Choosing the perfect foundation will be important too. Make sure that you've tested it in advance to be sure that:  A) it looks really good in photos B) it doesn't cause any skin problems- blemishes or even allergic reactions C) Is long lasting and withstands any weather conditions-heat, humidity or rain. You will also want to choose a foundation that is more matte then dewy in this case. When off the camera, dewy skin can look wonderful but that shine can be very problematic in photos making the skin look oily- not the best look for anyone. I would recommend the Makeup Forever HD Invisible Cover Foundation or Revlon Colorstay Foundation for this, as both have great matte finishes and are long lasting. In using a heavier matte foundation you should not need a concealer. In the case that you do, go ahead and use one just follow the same guidelines as you would with the foundation. I would recommend Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealers and Correctors- The corrector can be used for under eye circles and the concealer for blemishes. These products are very photo friendly. The next step would be to brush a loose very sheer to invisible powder (these look the most natural on the skin) all over the face and neck to set whatever has been applied previously-foundations and concealers. For this step I like the Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder.

Once you are happy with your foundation base, apply a matte blush, bronzer and highlighter. Whether or not you like to include these steps in your every day routine, try to refrain from leaving them out here. Without a light blush you can end up looking washed out and pale. Even a very light blush like Smashbox Blush Rush in the light pink shade called Paradise applied slightly to the apples of the cheeks will be good enough, but it must be worn! Then, take your bronzer and brush it over your cheek bones and any areas that you would like to recede. I really love Nars Laguna Bronzer as it's the perfect shade of brown for contouring and bronzing and looks good on almost all skin tones. The highlighter will work in a similar fashion and will help accentuate any specific features you would like. Brush it above the cheek bones, down the center of the nose, on the brow bone, in the inner corners of the eyes and just above the cupids bow of your lip to make those areas stand out. A great highlighter to use is The Balm Mary Louminizer .These simple tasks will give your face shape and dimension in pictures.

For the Eyes:

At minimum a very black eyeliner that stays put on the waterline and a very black waterproof mascara that curls, lengthens and adds volume should be used. I suggest Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero and Covergirl Lashblast 24 Hour Wear Mascara. If you would like to wear some eye shadows, apply a cream shadow base or eyelid primer and top it with whatever matte shades you like best. Too much shimmer may look a little akward which is why matte shades are a good choice when being photographed. One of the most vital steps in the eye look is running the darkest shade through the crease and outer v of the eye to create depth and definition for the eyes.

 For the Lips:
The lip look should be very defined. Use a lip liner pencil to outline the lip shape then use a matte lip stick of similar shade to fill the lips in with color. Avoid sheer, glittery or barely there lips or they can fade to the background a little in the photos.

For the Brows:
Use a waterproof brow pencil or matte brown powder that is about the same shade as your natural eyebrows and fill them in pretty strongly so that the color shows up well in the pictures. The eyes are framed by the brows so they make a big difference- take my word for it.

These are just a few of my tips for applying makeup in a way that will help you look your best in photographs. I hope that it will be helpful to you! Do you have some ideas that work well with you? Please share in the comments below- I love to hear from you!

Recipe: Pretzel Crusted Chicken with Honey Dijon Mayo Sauce/Dressing And Salad Greens

The thought of the beginning of August and how we are now halfway through Summer makes me feel a little disheartened. Summer is my favorite time of the year- I just love everything about it- the long days full of sunlight, the fireflies at dusk, the freshest of fruits to toss into deserts and the nice outdoor family outings. I'm trying my best to soak up the heat in hopes of preserving some for those long chilly winter months and until then I will enjoy every single moment of summer that's left to it's utmost.

During Summertime I try my best to avoid preparing any dinner dishes that need alot of time in the oven. The heat of the oven is just too much for my small apartment to handle, it gets too stuffy and sweaty. Instead I prepare meals like: meat salads, sushi, pasta, fried breaded chicken, fish or meats and any other dishes that can be prepared quickly on the stove top, cooked on a grill or fried in a deep fryer.

This dish did go in the oven but on a very low temperature to stay warm until being served. So it didn't cause an over abundance of uncomfortable heat in the house.

This recipe was incorporated/inspired by one I saw in the Taste Of Home magazine. I've seen the idea of crushed potato chips, potato sticks, the more typical bread crumbs or cornflake crumbs to be used as breading for chicken. I've even prepared one that had tortilla chip breading. I try to get a little more creative in preparation of good old boring chicken but I'd never done this with pretzels. It was a wonderful twist to what otherwise could have been a pretty dull dish.

Here is the recipe:

Pretzel Crusted Chicken with Honey Dijon Mayo Sauce/Dressing and Salad Greens:

Makes about 4 Adult Sized Portions

Ingredients:

1 Medium Sized Package of Chicken Breasts- already sliced into smaller pieces and thinned
1 Cup Flour
3 Cups Salted Pretzel Twists (Osem)
2 Eggs
1/4 Cup Almond Milk
Sprinkle of Salt and Pepper
2 Teaspoons Fresh Crushed Garlic, Chopped Small (Polander- already prepared and jarred)

Some Vegetable Oil for frying

Sauce / Dressing:
1/4 Cup Honey Dijon Mustard
1/4 Cup Mayonnaise
2 Tablespoons Vinegar
 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder

Bagged Salad Greens or Salad Greens of Choice

Method:

1. Start by preparing your breading station- lay out 3  shallow dishes. Put the flour in the first dish.

2. Pour the pretzels into a food processor or blender and process into very small pretzel bits. (If you don't have a machine put them in a plastic bag and smash down with a meat hammer this just takes much more time) Put the prepared pretzel bits in the second dish.

3. Whisk together the Eggs, Almond Milk,  Salt, Pepper and Fresh Garlic and place that mixture in the third dish.

4. Lay the dishes out in order as it will be easiest for breading. The flour dish first, then the egg mixture and last the small pretzel bits.

5. Take the chicken cutlets and gently pound each piece on both sides with a poultry/meat mallet to make them even thinner.

6. Then start "breading"  them one at a time: Coat them completely in flour then in the egg mixture and lastly in the pretzel bits. Carefully Put already pretzel coated pieces of chicken in a fourth dish to the side to be fried later.

7. Once you have finished the process of breading all of the chicken pieces you are ready to fry them. Put a little bit of veg. oil into the bottom of a nonstick frying pan. Start a flame underneath it starting out low until it's sizzling and then bringing it a little higher to about a medium heat. Add the pieces of chicken about 3-4 at a time depending how large the frying pan is. Try to avoid overcrowding as it can cause them to burn. Let them fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are no longer pink on the inside and have a nice pretzel crust on the outside.

8. Remove already fried pieces of chicken to a paper towel lined plate to allow any excess oil to drip off.

9. Prepare your sauce/dressing- Combine 1/4 Cup Honey Dijon Mustard, 1/4 Cup Mayonnaise, 2 Tablespoons Vinegar and 1/2 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder in a medium bowl. Whisk together till smooth and creamy in consistency.

10. Plate the Pretzel Crusted Chicken with about a handful of Salad Greens to the side of it. Either, Put the sauce/dressing in a container to be refrigerated if you are not serving right away. Or, Spoon desired amount over the top of the chicken and salad both as a double purpose sauce and dressing if you will be serving right away ( you can also serve the dressing/sauce to the side so that each person can take a specific amount to their liking).

I Hope you will enjoy this recipe!

Tarte Cosmetics Sale & My Top 10 Favorite Products

It's that time again! I get so excited when I see brands that I love having these friends and family sales. I previously posted about philosphy, smashbox and stila. I got great feedback regarding those recommendations. So Tarte is doing one of their own now- how thrilling is that? Their prices are already pretty decent for high end cosmetics but who doesn't like a nice discount?! Tarte is a company based mainly around cosmetics but they do some brushes and skin products as well. The thing that sets them apart from all other cosmetic brands I've tried is that all their products are high performance naturals. I personally have found most of their products to be extremely pleasing and easy to work with!
With their sale going on now it gives me a great opportunity to tell you about my top 10 favorite Tarte products (keeping these hot summer months in mind) so that you can hopefully take advantage of this sale. This is more of a recommendation list with a short description and opinion. If you would like to have a review on any one specific item just leave me a comment below and I'd be happy to do so. This sale ends on August 6th so head over there now and get your discount on some great products!

Here are my recommendations/ top 10 products:

http://tartecosmetics.com/

1. Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara- a mascara that gives both volume and length and doesn't smudge or flake throughout the day.

2. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Doll Face- A matte blush with a lot of pigmentation and no sparkle. Looks good on every skin tone. Doll face is the perfect every day pink color.

3. Tarte Lip Surgence Matte Lip Tint- These lip tints are easy to apply and have great staying power, they are available in many beautiful shades and they have a nice matte finish.

4. Tarte Multipleye Lash Enhancing Liquid Eyeliner- This liquid liner has a very fine long tip that gives you the easiest line which can be used to create a very natural look or built up to create more drama.

5. Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush- This brush is a very nice natural foundation brush (Buffing brush style which is my favorite for foundation application) It gives a beautiful flawless finish with any foundation application.

6. Tarte Maracuja Waterproof Creaseless Concealer - ( I am in the shade light)- this concealer not only has a great coverage for under eye concealers but also has maracuja oil in it which helps improve the skins texture and moisture. It has a nice finish and can easily cover blemishes and discoloration as well.

7. Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder- This is a colorless setting powder. It gives a nice finish and sets concealers and foundations very smoothly.

8. Tarte Clean Slate 360 Creaseless 12 hour Smoothing Eye Primer- This is an easy to apply eyelid primer which can be used on the eyelid and under eye area to increase the payoff of eyeshadows and make sure they last all day long. It works really well at doing this job.

9. Tarte Maracuja Divine Shine Lipgloss- These clickable pen lipglosses are sheer but buildable in color and have a stickier thicker consistency. I'm usually not a fan of sticky glosses but for those who like a long wear lipgloss these are fabulous.

10. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15- This is a creamy full coverage foundation that lasts very well on the skin. The fact that it has spf is also wonderful.

Makeup Product Review: Revlon Colorburst 042 Bellini Lip-Gloss

Revlon Colorburst 042 Bellini Lip-gloss

Product Description:
These Revlon Colorburst Lipglosses ($7.50) are described by Revlon as "A pop of weightless color with vivid, mirror-like shine. Outshines everything but you!" They sure got that right.

These lipglosses have been around for a while but I only recently discovered them.  After enjoying their colorburst lip butters I knew I had to try more of their lip products. Revlon is my most purchased brand from the drugstore for sure- I find that most of their products work so well  for me and are really decently priced! If you love Revlon like I do, then I recommend that you try these - they do not disappoint!

This specific shade, Bellini is a semi-sheer light pink shade that is a "your lips but better" kind of color with some shine. Layering it up can make it a little more opaque looking and will give you a light pink- nude color that will flatter any lips.

I like to wear this lipgloss on an occasion where my eye makeup is particularly smokey or more dramatic and I need a softer more sheer nude lip to go along with that.

What I love:

-In the summer time I tend to wear alot of lip balm, glosses, lip butters and any other light lip products.  I've therefore been trying many in the past little while and have found too many yucky sticky ones. I very much dislike sticky lip product that gets stuck in your hair when the wind blows and makes you want to take the product off just as soon as  you've applied it. I am so pleased that it was not the case with these- they are the exact opposite of sticky- weightless, smooth and creamy.

-They are available in 15 vibrant shades- from the lightest pinks to peaches, plums and bright reds. So there is a shade to suit every makeup look and any specific taste.

-I really like the packaging- pretty classy looking for the drugstore, with it's quilted design over the cap. Also, the entire thing is so light and thin so it can be easily stored or traveled with.

-The actual wand applicator is another thing that I really like- unique, compared to others of it's type. It's flat on it's sides with a very rounded tip which makes it easier to get an even application without being too wastely of product.

-  There are no annoying chunks of glitter or particles in them, yet they are glossy and lustrous.

- When I attempt smelling this gloss I pick up slightest scent of brown sugar-yum! It is so light that you'd have to really give it a good smell to even pick that up though. I'm not crazy over strongly scented lip products so I am pretty happy about that.

-They are very decently priced at  about $7.49  (Lately I've been purchasing my drugstore items from Ulta.com since they have lots of my favorite high end products available as well as drugstore ones. They also tend to have great deals: buy 1 get 1 50% off and others like that which is always cool!)

What I Don't Love:
-They don't last very long on my lips at all. Lipglosses don't tend to stay on me either way. I tend to use the gloss to top a long lasting lipstick or lipstain for some added shine so I don't find it to be a huge problem but it may pose some issues for those who want to wear it alone and have it last.

-They are supposed to be really moisturizing but I don't see that to be true at all. I don't really expect my lipglosses to moisturize my lips in any case but it sure would have been nice if they actually lived up to what they are said to do.

 Overall:

-Comparing these to other recent lip glosses I've tried recently, I would have to say these come out on top so I will definitely be purchasing more of them. I'm curious to see what some of the darker shades are like- if they are on the sheer side like this one or more opaque. I will update with further info about this once I've tried them.

-I do wish this gloss would last through a drink of water but I'll continue to layer it over a long lasting lip product like I usually would.
It seems like there is quite a bit of product in there and for what these cost you really can't go wrong.

In general, they are pretty soft and sleek on my lips and I would recommend them to anyone looking for that perfect gloss but I would say to layer it over a long lasting product otherwise it shouldn't be expected to last very long.
