Potatoes and Hot Dogs with Crispy Fried Rice

Potatoes and Hot Dogs:

-5 Medium Sized Yukon Gold Potatoes
-1 Package Beef Hot Dogs
-1 Medium Onion
-3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
-3 Tablespoons Ketchup
-1 Tablespoon Hoisin Bbq Sauce
-1 Tsp Chili Sauce
-Salt and Pepper to taste
-1/2  teaspoon garlic powder
-1 Cup Water

Place the olive oil in a deep non stick frying pan and heat over low flame.  Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cube sized pieces. Put potatoes into pan and fry for 2-3 minutes. Meanwhile chop onion in small pieces and slice hot dog up into 1 inch pieces. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder and let it all fry up and brown for about 15 minutes. Add water, ketchup, bbq sauce and chili sauce. Let it cook for another 15 minutes till sauce has thickened and diminished to desired consistancy.

Crispy Fried Rice:

-1 Cup Jasmine Rice (Basmati Rice or any other rice can be used as well)
-1/2 Cup Water
-3-6 Tablespoons Veg Oil
-1 Tsp Lemon Juice
-2 Tsps Brown Sugar
-Salt and pepper to taste

Heat water in a medium saucepan on a medium flame.  Add pinch of salt to pot. Then add rice once water has come to a boil. Let it cook till rice is fluffy, almost cooked through and water has boiled out completely. Place oil in non stick frying pan. Put rice in and pat it down on top of the oil. Let it fry and crisp on bottom. Fluff it and turn it over every few minutes to keep it from burning. If it seems the oil is going dry and the rice is not completely done, add some more oil. Then Add lemon juice and brown sugar when rice is almost ready. Once it is at desired crispyness, serve.

They can be eaten together or seperate both delicious.
