1 Large Red Pepper chopped up small
1 Large Onion Chopped Up Small
1 Small Can Tomato Paste
-1/3 Cup Milk
-3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, to taste
1. Saute' mushrooms, onion and pepper in a frying pan with the butter until the juices run a little and the veg's are softer. Then add the salt, pepper, garlic powder and oregano and allow it to cook for a minute more. Then add the flour keeping the flame on but very low and constantly stirring for a minute or so. It will help the veggies stick together.
2. Defrost the puff pastry squares. Place a tablespoon of the vegetable mixture in the center and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese. Then close the dough folding it into a triangle shape and push the edges down all the way around with a fork to seal it. Place them on a greased baking sheet and brush them with egg wash. Then bake them on 400 for 20 minutes.
3. Then prepare the sauce- place the tomato paste, salt, pepper, garlic powder, olive oil and milk into a blender. Blend till nice and smooth.
4. Spoon a tablespoon of the prepared sauce over each turnover and serve warm.
They were fantastic!
